Introducing Arvigo Therapy

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy

I’d love to share with you all some information about the amazing Arvigo Therapy offered at Meant to Bee…

Earlier this year I travelled to Portland, Oregon to further my Maya Massage training and become a Practitioner of Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapy. The trip was simply brilliant; a truly spiritual and relaxing experience. I had the privilege of meeting a group of extraordinary and powerful women to share this journey with. Sadly I have left them all behind in America, but the memories will stay with me forever.

This treatment is more than just a massage - I honestly cannot think of anyone, of any age, who wouldn’t benefit from this therapy, but it is known to aid anyone suffering with fertility issues, digestion problems, lower back pain, urinary disorders and varicose veins.

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy are founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage which is an external non-invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs to improve the flow of blood, lymph, nerves and energy. It was a traditional Maya healer, Don Elijio Panti, who imparted his knowledge and wisdom to American Dr Rosita Arvigo. Rosita built upon her already extensive knowledge of naprapathy and founded the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy in 2000.

The therapy works by gently guiding the organs to their optimum position. Throughout life we suffer stresses, knocks and falls, both physically and emotionally, which take a toll on our bodies. In our fast-paced lives we don’t afford ourselves time to process emotions or to heal the wounds, and so we hold this pain in our bodies. Over time this emotional pain is displayed through physical pain - we have ‘issues in our tissues’. In order to heal this pain we need a safe and quiet space, and someone to listen whom we can trust to not judge us, to listen and to advise. I hope to be this confidant for my clients at Meant to Bee.

Arvigo Therapy is a well known and trusted organisation with over 600 therapists in almost every country of the world. It is a beautiful community of which I am so proud to be a part of. My clients are safe in the knowledge that they are benefitting from many years of experience, research and knowledge from the Arvigo Institute. For more information visit
